Fellowship Project
Ms. Qiu Huilei spent four months (August to December 2017) at The British Museum in London, the U.K., where she studied their education projects. She also explored the correlation between The British Museum and the building of urban culture.
Biography
Ms. Qiu Huilei is an Assistant Curator at the Education Department of the Shanghai Museum. She is responsible for the museum lecture series and involved in the editing of basic readings and advanced research monographs, the organization of the special exhibitions for schools, the management of the online art courses and the undergraduate volunteer programme of the Shanghai Museum. She is now assisting in reforming the structure of the education projects for the new branch of the Shanghai Museum, which is set to open to the public in 2020.
Recent Development and Achievement
Ms. Qiu Huilei is now in charge of the “Social Education: Museum Curriculum System Construction” project of the Shanghai Museum. This project plans and designs museum courses including museum youth practice courses, Shanghai Museum Exploration Palace courses, school courses, lifelong education courses and special needs community learning courses.
