Fellowship Project
Prof. Xue Longchun spent four months (August – December 2015) at the National Palace Museum in Taipei, Taiwan, where he studied letters of literati of the Ming and Qing Dynasties.
Biography
Prof. Xue Longchun is currently a Professor of School of Arts and Archaeology at Zhejiang University, specializing in the research of the history of calligraphy and seal carving in Ming and Qing dynasties. He was funded by the American Council of Learned Societies (ACLS) and Jiangsu Province Government in 2008/2009 and 2013 to conduct research at Boston University as a visiting scholar. Prof. Xue received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Soochow University in 1992, a Master of Arts degree from Nanjing Normal University in 1997, a Ph.D. degree from Nanjing University of the Arts in 2004, and was a postdoctoral fellow in the History Department of Nanjing University from 2006 to 2010.
